Beirut Emergency Relief

In 2020, the Beirut explosion killed 200 people and caused billions of dollars in damage. In the middle of a pandemic and a national financial crisis, this event crippled many families and the entire Beirut community.

American Initiatives joined efforts with the Lebanese NGO, Promotion et Developpement Social (PRODES), to raise emergency funds and help those who lost their their homes in the explosion. The aftermath of the explosion is still significantly affecting Beirut.
